A young woman plays a ballad and tells a comforting tale to those who listen. Would you listen?

For my thesis, I chose to highlight and focus on painting one spread of a children's book I wrote, called "Cree's Summer Adventure". It is about a tablet-obsessed kid from New York City experiencing technology-free country life for the first time. In this spread she is helping her grandmother in the kitchen, which she compares to New York City bodegas. I tried to capture the fun and looseness of the kitchen with the bright colors, the huge stack of pancakes, and the humorous overseeing "manager" cat.

"CRUSHED"
The cover of the accordion style zine "CRUSHED." Disembodied hands reach, spread and tear into the forbidden fruit that lies deep within. Seeds become blood, blood becomes tears, what was once safe and precious is now crushed. Within the zine is a personal anecdote about accepting your past self & your current flaws.

The painting illustrates the beautiful and harmonious relationship between humans and flowers and how flowers can activate our senses and create a unique and stimulating sensory experience, almost like music.

Weeping Rosemary: Demo is a piece of visual development and writing that I have worked on since a very young age, that I hold dear to. I've always wanted to make it a game, but never had the skills or courage to do so, until now.

This is a light-hearted piece, focusing on three of my characters posing for a photo (a pirate, a jungle girl, and a teen super heroine. The bright colors in the background are all supposed to contrast with the respective characters' in the foreground.

I strive to bridge the gap between humans and our environment, bringing awareness to the intricacies of all essential life on Earth and how it is our purpose to protect and respect them. My artwork demonstrates my deep appreciation for our natural world and the privilege of Earthly stewardship.

Children's book illustration dedicated to my grandparents who taught me how to cook. A memoir and recipe book of the Chinese food that are integral to my childhood, identity, and cultural upbringing.

YG got inspired by Korean traditions and culture while he was born and raised in Korea. He emphasizes masculinity by using large silhouettes, straight shape, and strong color contrasts. In addition, he uses several techniques to experiment and develop his own original textiles for his unique fashion.

Aahar is about providing traditional Indian meals that are lighter, fresher and healthier in a world of heavy tikka masalas and greasy garlic naans. Our goal is to educate our consumers of the Indian ayurvedic ideology of 'food is medicine' and that each element in a traditional home cooked Indian meal balances the fat, protein, carbs, fibER, sweet, sour, salty and everything in between!

This piece is a small part of an immensely larger project. The environment design, including the characters, are for an adventure video game concept I am developing.

The "Ambrosia" collection merges two distinct art forms, uniting them through romantic patterns and vivid scenes. Sheer fabrics lend an exquisite touch of grace and refinement, draping luxuriously upon the wearer. Merging the opulent legacy of Mughal paintings with the contemporary allure of Toile de J ouy, each piece showcases intricate, vibrant designs that embody the essence of both worlds. This collection offers a timeless and versatile wardrobe adaptable to any occasion. Effortless elegance and enduring style harmonize within each garment, effortlessly transitioning from a chic brunch to a captivating evening soiree with a simple accessory change.

In this particular work of mine I chose to cast my own body out of plaster gauze fill with found and amaze objects. I wanted to portray that by using my “body” as a materialized/artificial example of our subconscious.

As an aspiring music illustrator, I am endlessly fascinated by the intersection of music and art. With a deep adoration and appreciation for the artistry behind countless genres of music, I strive to capture the essence of each artist and album I work with through my illustrations. Through my work, I hope to share the joy and emotion that music brings to myself and others, while also celebrating the creativity and talent of the musicians themselves.

"An Artist of my Own" tells the story of an Artists' creation who, when abandoned by her artist, ventures down a path of self love by painting herself and becoming her own muse.
