Summary/Artist Statement
Artist Statement:
Held in Thread is a home and interiors collection which explores themes of memory, home, comfort, and connection, focusing on diasporic identity and the idea of home as both a physical and emotional landscape. The collection includes a combination of digital, woven, embroidered, and knitted designs. Using material as metaphor, I draw on the loops and interlocking patterns found in yarns, woven structures, and textiles as reflections of connection and fragmentation. By building multiple physical and metaphorical layers, I invite viewers to experience each piece as an environment of memory and connection.
