Sok' (translated to peace, love, and prosperity in Lao and Khmer) focuses on the art of weaving, with supporting prints highlighting auspicious motifs in Lao and Khmer culture. At a young age, my parents journeyed from Laos and Cambodia to America, escaping their war-torn homes in search of a better life. While the lands they left behind were devastated, the culture and spirit remained. To pay homage to their stories and contribute my own, Sok is a cultural expression of my family's native lands.
Designed for interiors, the collection includes hand woven and jacquard woven fabrics, a hand woven rug, and hand drawn prints. - Medium
