Still Becoming is a women's apparel collection that explores the transitional period between adolescence and early adulthood. The designs act as vessels for storytelling, capturing the quiet journey of growing into oneself—navigating uncertainty, change, and the ongoing discovery of identity.
Through this collection, I reflect on my own personal journey, examining my evolving relationship with myself as I enter the early stages of my twenties. In moments of uncertainty, I reconnect with my inner child, returning to the things I once loved. To encapsulate this time of transition, I leaned into soft colors, whimsical motifs, and tactile textures that honor girlhood in all its forms.
Transparency became another key design element within the collection. Expressed through intentional cutouts and open-weave structures, it reflects the idea that we are always a work in progress—never fully complete, with constant room for growth.
Though deeply personal, this collection is shared with the hope that its vulnerability resonates with a wider audience through the universal experiences of growth, uncertainty, and self-discovery. Still Becoming is designed to offer comfort, reassurance, and a sense of connection for young women navigating their early twenties. The collection suggests that while we are constantly evolving, there is beauty in both what we carry forward and what we choose to leave behind. - Medium
