- Gen Z is often called the "Current Events Generation," having been shaped by a constant, connected stream of crises, like the 2008 financial crisis, climate change, school shootings, the COVID-19 pandemic, and social justice movements. As a result, a lot of their understanding of the world is mediated through the internet, where information is rapidly consumed, remixed, and shared from platform to platform. Gen Z doesn't just experience the current state of the world they take it and turn it into content /commentary.

- Artist Statement:
- When was the last time you played with a paper cup telephone? Maybe you were a child, holding one cup to your ear while a friend whispered into the other. The string connected you, yet the message always changed slightly. That playful, imperfect transmission mirrors how Gen Z uses the internet to share jokes and comments to cope with current struggles. The paper cup telephone captures many different interpretations, reflecting diverse perspectives on shared experiences.
