Summary/Artist Statement
Can neon lights live on through memory, cultural preservation, or evolution? The disappearance of the neon signage in Hong Kong was embedded within the culture of its glow. They were initially created to advertise local businesses but evolved into a visual language that defined the city’s identity. The government regulations remove these signs; their absence warns more than technological advancements, but the abandonment of living script and craftsmanship.
