- If food nourishes the body, what nourishes perception? Food Is Fiction examines the graphic design of everyday grocery products to question how packaging constructs stories of health and honesty. Every color, claim, and symbol is deliberate, and sometimes, manipulative. Through an emulation of familiar shopping interactions, the project slows the moment of purchase, revealing the subtle fictions embedded in packaging and inviting viewers to reconsider how design shapes what we believe we are buying.

- Alyssa Hong is a designer whose practice explores the intersection of art, technology, and material process. Combining digital fluency with photography and hands-on experimentation, she creates work that balances visual refinement with tactile production, often incorporating die-cuts, hand-dyed paper, and custom fabrication. In 2024, she founded A+ Studios, an independent graphic design practice, alongside A++, a companion art venture.
