- Abstract
- This body of work explores desire, power, and performance through street culture. Inspired by 1970s “street hooker” style, it reclaims fashion once seen as taboo as bold self-expression. Clothing becomes armor and identity in a dangerous, cinematic NY.
- Artist Statement:
- Lenny is a New York based documentary and fine art photographer. He is currently focusing on taking portraits.

"Growing up, movies always spoke to me and sparked my ideas for creating. While some of the other kids were playing outside with their friends, I was inside watching movies on my grandma’s TV after school, so whatever they said tv rots the brain, they didn't clarify about sparking creativity. I was mainly drawn to older films ever since I could stand up, to me they felt more realistic than the movies from my generation today, even though they say they are boring.
Ever since watching those movies I try to recreate the same feeling. When people look at my photographs, they often tell me it feels like being taken back to another time or to a different world from ours."
