About this Item
- Title
- Mi Cultura
- Date
- 2025
- Description
- This portrait series honors the culture that shaped my identity —bodegas, dominó, and rollos. Growing up Dominican American in New York City, these everyday moments embodied community, rhythm, and warmth.
- Artist Statement:
- As a Dominican American photographer from Bushwick, Brooklyn, my work explores the intersection of culture, fashion, and environment. Through portraits grounded in the aesthetics of New York Hip-Hop, I capture the rhythm of identity and the power of self-expression that defines my community.
