- Artist Statement:
- The Quiet Distance shows the connection between the people and the spaces they are surrounded by. Each portrait captures the essence of an unscripted moment, allowing individuals to engage with the environment and focusing on natural light and tone to bring out the presence of each chosen location. Though the portraits were made separately and have their own stories to tell, together they tell authenticity and stillness, in how identity becomes visible through uncontrived presence.
