About this Item

- Oxidized Copper
- Date
- 2025
- Summary
- This piece was created in an attempt to demonstrate the oxidization process in copper. Careful attention was paid to the various tones and hues, such as verdigris and aquamarine to capture the transition, as well as the chosen weaves to highlight the copper or oxidization in certain areas. The work itself presents a dichotomy where the original material, the copper, is being ruined through a natural process, but in this destruction it takes a new life that is equally desirable.
