Summary/Artist's Statement
I started my journey as a fashion design major and chose sportswear because I personally think it can show a person's ideas and their charm well. A person's mood and character will be displayed in the dress. You don't need a language to show yourself to the outside world. My mother is a men's clothing brand agent and she took me to various brands' order meetings at an early age. This has had a great impact on my designs. I don't think design should be gendered, so most of the time I design them from a neutral perspective. The design concept I want to convey is simple but not boring, artistic but practical.
Image 1: High-waisted tapered-leg trouser with side invisible zipper and a detachable pocket. The orange stitches are used as decoration to show the shape of the pocket and crotch, making this trouser look more interesting.
Image 2: Flashback to past wearing habits: Garments can be worn by both men and women for generations. This design breaks up gender stereotypes and reflects environmental awareness.
Image 3: The color contrast with decorative stitch line on the side of hat corresponds to the same design elements on the garment.
Image 4: Asymmetric design with draped sleeve, also the collar shape decoration and tailoring stitch on the black panel with side tie fastening.
Image 5: Using different gender models to show the same design, to express different feelings.
Image 6: Black and white is the main colors of this design, representing yin and yang, which emphasizes the concept of unisex. Style should not be defined by gender.
