Summary/Artist's Statement
Under a microscope, some human cells and tissues resemble plants. Human lip tissue looks like the petals of roses. The iris of the human eye resembles a dandelion. Breast tissue is similar to a hyacinth. Humans and plants have more connection than one thinks. Aren’t we just alike? This collection draws inspiration from the fascinating shapes and structures observed in microscopic images, expressing the connection between humans and plants.
