- Summary/Artist's Statement
- La Gâchette, which means "the trigger" in French, is inspired by medieval archers. Imagine a traveler who has to grapple with the freedom and danger of moving from town to town. They walk, escaping the dangers of the night, using the archer's hood to hide their identity from other travelers on the road. Lost, they pluck their bowstring. This, however, is not medieval France, this is life in the big city.
