- Artist's Statement:
- This collection explores the lines between my historical and cultural background with an androgynous aesthetic. The inspiration relies heavily on Mexican culture, textures, colors, and unconventional materials that reference my life back in my hometown. It includes Mexican sourced materials, natural and sustainable fibers, unusual medium experimentation, fused to create sophisticated silhouettes. It is a celebration of my culture raising awareness of the potential the Mexican design has to offer in a globally competitive industry.
- About this Work:
- Mexico through a Lens: Celadon chainette knit tunic with extreme cowl neck and back. One sleeve mini jacket with hand sewn ixtle fiber. Custom made wood trims and closures in collaboration with KILA a Mexican artisan. Mexican sombrero sourced from the south and hand sewn fiber for texture.
- Mexico through a Lens; Pants and top: Cotton bodice top dipped in wax, hand sculpted wax. Closure on the sides with lace and wood button. Cashmere wide pants with ixtle fiber yoke on the back. Handmade leather bag with custom wood handle in collaboration with KILA.

- Celadon chainette knit tunic with extreme cowl neck and back: Celado chain knit, Organic Cotton twill, Organza, Ixtle fiber, Dry palm, Wood
- Pants and top: Wax dipped top in cotton. Cream cashmere pants with Ixtle appliqué.
