Summary/Artist's Statement
Based on my girlfriend and I, at our picnic after the Pride Parade. June 25, 2023. The parade was loud so we got over stimulated. We decided to go to the nearby Washington Square park nearby and lay in the grass. We didn't bring a picnic blanket, thinking we didn't need one that day, and so we laid out the lesbian pride flag to rest on. It was our peaceful heaven, a rare safe freedom, from the chaos of the world.
