- Summary/Artist Statement
- "Elevated Sportswear Revamped" is inspired by the rural and architectural aspects of NYC. Raised as a Brooklynite myself, I take lots of inspiration from the different communities around me. This collection has an emphasis on silhouette, color, cut, and style. Streetwear is heavily influenced here on NYC streets. This is how I've come up with the colors and designs. It's very practical for a woman to wear sneakers, not just during the day but in their nightlife as well. Adding a touch of femininity to them makes it more glamorous. I'm that girl who loves practicality while still looking my best. I enjoy watching the way people dress on the streets. It's quite a hobby of mine and how I get inspired as a visual designer. Honing in on one's upbringing is important to me and how I represent myself as a person.
