- Summary/Artist Statement
- As the pandemic hit, I was inspired by the idea of how many of us have had an increasing desire to return to the nostalgic comfort and safety of childhood memories when we think of home and interior décor. The DIY movement and the renewed value of homemade goods, crafting, baking, and decorating, have taken on a noticeable youthful feel, and became an upcoming trend of the year. I came up with a concept of childlike expressionism, creating a collection of knit prints and patterns for kids' wear, that have the aesthetic of a playful and flirtatious theme using Kaledo and Photoshop. As a creative designer and artist, I take inspiration from the current trends and my surroundings.
