- For my thesis, I chose to highlight and focus on painting one spread of a children's book I wrote, called "Cree's Summer Adventure". It is about a tablet-obsessed kid from New York City experiencing technology-free country life for the first time. In this spread she is helping her grandmother in the kitchen, which she compares to New York City bodegas. I tried to capture the fun and looseness of the kitchen with the bright colors, the huge stack of pancakes, and the humorous overseeing "manager" cat.
