I have always found tales from the past fascinating. My work is part of a series in which I create narrative art depicting religious stories. This painting represents a scene from the Book of Genesis called Noah's Ark, where they are approaching the end of the flood. The scene shows the animals on board a ship surrounded by rough waters. Although the environment is stormy, it is calming, with heaven's light shining on the dove carrying an olive branch as a sign of peace and new beginnings. These treasure troves of ancient tales are inspiring, and I want to convey my artistic interpretation of them.

A drama in four acts, A Century Old Dream is an exploration of life, death, love, and coming of age. Inspired by Sleeping Beauty, it is a study of dreams, experimenting with fantastical and surreal elements. The story follows the friendship between a young princess Lucinda and her tutor, Ebony. A complicated family feud leads to the death of the tutor. after falling into a deep sleep, the princess is reunited with a ghost of her friend. will the princess ever wake up? How does the world shift while she sleeps?
The concept for this story in the format of a playbill, it would be fully executed as a stage production.

My creative work is a mix of painterly and graphic. The subject matter of this piece is a scene of two people merging into one and having vines and plants to be made of their body. The title of this work is “Growing Together”. The drama of the different color see light sources really adds to the work and give the viewer a sense of unease. I painted this digitally. I was inspired by a book that I was reading at the time called “Helpmeet” by Naben Ruthnum. My goal as in artist is to cause the viewer to feel an emotion with my work and make my art readable. I think this piece achieved these goals because it made me feel uneasy and also I can see was everything is in the piece. Barely anything in this work feels muddy. This artwork turned out amazing. Everything that I wanted for this piece turned out exactly like how I wanted it to be. This artwork influences the way I approach different artworks because it transformed direct the point of attention with rendering and the minimal rendering on other parts of the artwork.
