The inspiration behind this mural piece is based on the song of the "La Llorona", the weeping women, a Mexican folklore song. I wanted to illustrate this song because I grew up listening to it and it is my way of commemorating my ancestors and culture.

My mural was inspired by the song Light My Love by Greta Van Fleet. The song gives me a transcendent feeling when I listen to it. I picture a rainbow flowing out from a girls head and continuing up into space so I chose to illustrate that for this piece.

For the 2022 Chalk FIT mural prompt the theme was song interpretation. I decided to go with Sunny Day by Beabadoobee. While deciding the concept for the artwork I wanted to have fun with the idea of breaking out of isolation to enjoy the world around you.

A visual interpretation of Prince's song "Purple Rain". I depicted the emotional ballad through a violet toned portrait and and giant tear. The tear is in the shape of Prince's famous symbol, a mix between the male and female symbols or "The Love Symbol".

My piece, "The Grapejuice Blues", is inspired by the song "Grapejuice" by Harry Styles. This conceptual piece shows a wine bottle pouring out two "wine people" into a glass. I also chose a vintage travel poster font to give it a retro feeling!

The song I chose is Fish by a Chinese artist name Xi Gua Jun. As many of us step into society, we encounter difficulties that would make us feel trapped like a fish placed in a fishbowl. My mural captures that moment when we become lost and exhausted.
