Since I was a kid, I always leaned toward the arts. I filled up notebooks with sketches, and as soon as I learned how to knit, I couldn't put the needles down. From there I have only expanded my hobbies and knowledge of crafts by sculpting and needle felting in my free time. And whether I'm making an original creation out of clay, or designing illustrations in Adobe programs, I bring a unique sense of creativity wherever it is needed. Just like crafting, packaging and brand design require thought, care, and a lot of attention to detail.

When designing, I turn up my music and have fun with the process. My creative journey was not quite linear. I was originally studying illustration when packaging design caught my attention. I realized I could combine my illustration skills with my passion for design to create compelling brand stories and engaging brand experiences. I think asking the right questions throughout the design process leads to the best solutions. Being able to marry my problem-solving skills and drawing abilities has allowed me to grow as a creative person.

I am a packaging and branding designer and I like to seek inspiration and ideas from my interests in video games, animation, and traveling. My design sensibility is usually minimalistic yet fun. I like to illustrate and experiment with different styles and aesthetics. I enjoy watching internet videos and social media to analyze the minds of today's youth (myself included, ha-ha) on what the trends are and what they expect out of a brand. It is important to me to be inclusive and thorough with storytelling. As a Mexican American growing up in Astoria, Queens – the center of diversity – I love to explore and pay respect to different cultures.
